Father's Day Bowling

For Father's Day this year, Charles and I were going to be out of town.  So we celebrated a weekend early.  We started by making Daddy his favorite breakfast, and giving him cards and a present.  His present this year was a bike and a bike trailer.  I was able to buy a used trailer from one of my friends for only $25 and then we got him an inexpensive bike from Walmart.

Later that day, we asked him what he wanted to do, and he decided he wanted to use the free bowling passes I had gotten.  So the kids got super excited. Bradley had never been before.  We got in the car and then realized that the free passes only worked until noon.  It was 1:00.  Well the kids were too excited to go, and we didn't want to break their hearts, so we just went anyway, and ended up having to pay.  Lame.

Bradley probably had the most fun out of everyone.  He has such a good attitude.

After watching Bradley toss the bowling ball and hear it come crashing down a few times, we finally got one of those rail things that you can roll the ball down.

That was better.

Brynnlee spent most of her time with me walking around the arcade.  After realizing how easy it was to end up flat on her back on the slippery floor, she decided carpet was the way to go.

Here's Kaleb getting all mad because the Nachos he picked out to share with everyone were disgusting.  He pouted the rest of the game.

Bradley is awesome.  He carries this big ole' heavy ball in one hand...

... and then grabs the rail thing with the other hand and drags it into place all by himself.

Jaden was pretty proud of his first strike. :)

If for no other reason, I was glad we went for Bradley.  He was so fun to watch.  He's such a good sport.  After bowling we decided to show Daddy the new park we had found earlier in the week...

  1. So after reading all the posts that I had missed I have come to the conclusion that the boys can be described in three different ways...Jaden is compassionate and thoughtful, Kaleb is goofy and dramatic and Bradley is a love bug and happy. Obviously each of them can be other things but when I think of them individually those are the qualities that I think of. I love that they are all so different but yet so similar too. It'll be interesting to see how Byrnnlee fits into the puzzle once she's older!
