New Years Eve

We brought in the New Year with Grandma and Grandpa.  We played games, made bracelets on the rainbow loom, watch Harry Potter and ate lotsa junk food.  Happy 2014!!

Christmas

This was our first Christmas at the new house.  This was also the first Christmas where we decided the kids would use their own money to buy gifts for people.  They started saving in September, and made a budget for how many people they wanted to buy for, what they wanted to get, and how much it would cost. Jaden gave Brynnlee these fairy wings, which she loved.

Kaleb had been saving up for a Power Wheel.  He was a little more than halfway there.  For Christmas, we paid for the rest of it and surprised him by having it ready for him on Christmas day.

Santa didn't bring them anything on their lists this year.  (Maybe he didn't get them on time.) But he did surprise them with a trampoline.  But we will have to wait till Spring to put it up.

A little bit later we went to Grandma and Grandpa Ashton's house for more Christmas fun.  This was Kaleb's gift for Alli.

Bradley gave Grandpa a puzzle.

Jaden played a little trick on Alli.  He knew she has issues with the word "curd." She can't stand that word. So he saved a container of cottage cheese with the words "Small CURDS" on it, washed it out and then used the container to hold one of her favorites treats: chocolate covered pretzels, which he  made for her all by himself.  She loved it.

Bradley gave Grandma some paint...

... ad Kaleb gave her some number borders to hang in her classroom.

For Grandma, Jaden decided to fill a tin with what he hoped was enough money for a Frozen Yogurt date.  He enclosed a note with an invitation.

Grandma loved it.  They went out on their date a few nights later.

For Grandpa, Jaden made him something special to hang on his refrigerator...

Can you find them?

Steve and a Creeper from Minecraft.  Grandpa introduced Minecraft to Jaden and keeps him updated with all the newest mods or whatever they are called.  Jaden made these during his trip to CA, specifically with Grandpa in mind.

Kaleb got Grandpa a secret agent disguise..

Brynnlee chose the pink cowboy hat for Grandpa.
