End of Year School Programs

Jaden's End of the Year Program.

Jaden's Class performed a play for all the parents called, Biomes.  It was all about different creatures trying to figure out the the best kind of home for them to live in.  Jaden and 3 others were Macaws.  I really liked this play because each group of creatures had their own singing parts, so I could actually hear Jaden singing.  It was awesome! Pardon my picture taking and video skills, I had 3 others littles to take care of at the same time.

Jaden transferred from Mrs. Birge's 3rd Grade class at Oakcrest, to Mrs. Stott's Class here at Eastlake.  So far we really like the new school and teachers.

Kaleb's End of the Year Program

A couple hours later, we got to go watch Kaleb's class perform.  Kaleb had a speaking part, which he actually DID do.  If you can't understand it, he says, "Good relationships take work.  Conflicts and arguments are a part of life."

Kaleb transferred from Mrs. Parker's Kindergarten class at Oakcrest, into Mrs. Soqui's at Eastlake.  They sang a bunch of cute songs, but these 2 were my favorite.

Puke Prank

What do you get when you mix Cottage Cheese with Salsa?  A tasty mixture that looks like vomit.  Perfect for a prank on the kids.  Sorry for my shaking camera.  I was laughing too much to keep still. :)

Jaden Spring Soccer

Jaden #7
Green Dragons
Coach Eli

These pictures are always a treat
Another season of soccer for Jaden.

Jaden played all over agin. Goalie, Fullback, Center and Forward.  His favorites were goalie and defense.  He says he doesn't like to run, haha! But I think he is brave to volunteer to be the last line of defense.  Being a goalie is tough!  For the player AND the parents. Haha!

Brynnlee was our HalfTime entertainment.  She would run to the middle of the field and dance for everyone. :)

And sometimes she and the boys would have potato sack races with the folding chair bags.

Again, Jaden played the season with his 2 buddies from the old neighborhood, Lucus and Kisaac.  Jaden likes soccer, but he enjoys basketball more. We might take a break from soccer to focus more on basketball...

Kaleb Spring Soccer

Kaleb #7
The Green Boogers
Coach- Jeff

This season Kaleb got to play with Cole, Agustin, Issac, Micah, and Drew.  It was fun to watch him play with so many of his old friends, and it was fun for me to get to catch up with the moms at all the games.

Kaleb plays hard.  He doesn't stop.  One game, I overheard a mom from the opposing team say to another mom, "That one has no fear.  The one with the broken arm."  That's my boy.  He has no fear at home either.  At least it bodes well out on the pitch.

The very first game he played, he scored 4 goals.  Of course I didn't have my camera.  After that it was 1-2 each game.

It is hard for me to take my eyes off Kaleb when he plays.  He's so much fun to watch. Maybe not for Bradley. :)

With 3 kids playing, we spent 4-6 hours each Saturday at the soccer park.  I love it.

Next season we are trying out USA soccer.  It's nice because all the teams stay the same for 2 seasons.  Hopefully we get a good team!  Charles was kind of forced into coaching, but I know he will be great.  Kaleb will get to play with Cole, Agustin and Micah for these next 2 seasons. This should be fun!

Bradley Spring Soccer

Bradley #2
The Fire Flames
Coach Mitch

Soccer at Bradley's age is riviting. Can you tell by my Dad's enthusiasm?? Haha!

It's a lot of work for those coaches to keep players on the field and away from the daisies.  I don't think I could do it.

But every time Bradley touched the ball, you better believe he heard us cheer. :)

Bradley mastered the art of running with his hands in his pockets.  The shorts that were provided were way too big, so he had to wear his own shorts... with pockets.  But he didn't mind because his 2 older brothers both preferred to wear their own shorts too.  like Bradley, Kaleb is too skinny for his, but Jaden just says he doesn't want to wear a skirt. Haha!  I don't blame him. They ARE pretty flowy.

Bradley scored 2 goals in one game, and then 2 more in later games.

We usually had an hour or 2 wait between his game and the next game.  Perfect for a little snooze.

Bradley has met 3 good friends since we moved to the new house.  All girls.  Aislyn, Hannah and Anna.  This is Anna.

Good game, good game, good game, where's my treat?

San Diego Wedding

In June, Charles and I packed up for a quick getaway to San Diego.  Our good friend from high school, Jessica, was getting hitched.  My mom and Dad took the kids Thursday night and we took off for Mesquite.  We found a little gem of a hotel.  After we checked in, we spent about 10 minutes getting settled before deciding to pack it all back up and upgrade to the suite.  Awwwe-yeah!  Well worth it. :)

Friday we drove the rest of the way to San Diego and met up with another high school friend, Crystal.

Crystal brought her boyfriend Scott for the sole purpose of seeking the Socci approval.  He passed. :)

Charles and I went into the temple for the ceremony.  I think I have been there before for the open house?  But I couldn't remember it.  It was gorgeous.  So many plants and natural light everywhere.  I loved it.  The ceremony was sweet, and like me, Jess got to be married by her own Grandpa.

Thanks humidity, for making me look like I just rolled out of bed.

After pictures, Charles and I snuck off to go hit the beach.  We didn't have enough time to go IN the water before the reception, but that was okay.  It was too cold.  We just took our shoes off and walked along the shore.

Then after that we got wasted at the reception, and did unspeakable things...

Okay, just kidding kids.  :)

It was soda, and there was a photo-booth. Nuff said.

Thanks Jessica and Roman for tying the knot so we could have a fun weekend!  And thanks Mom and Dad for taking the kids. :)
